WHY DISTRICT 33
My name is Mathew Reinhold and I am running to represent the communities of Bonner Springs, Kansas City, Edwardsville, Lake Quivira, and Delaware Township in the Kansas House of Representatives. When I learned which communities I shared my district with I saw the need, but most importantly opportunity. There is a massive amount of apathy in WYCO. People not only feel that politics won't make a difference in their lives but, more dangerously, that being involved in their communities won't either. From Turner to Bonner Springs these communities are working class with working class values. People in this area are often struggling to keep their head above water and see their leaders and politicians delivering little in assistance.
YOUR REPRESENTATIVE
The apathy of Wyandotte County is untapped energy. People are used to a representative who is nothing like them and may as well not even be from their community. Most people are not even aware who their representative is and may only have seen their names on a red or blue yard sign. I am working class and an active part of this community and that will not change once elected. I want to show my neighbors that we can build up our communities and advocate for our communities regardless of our backgrounds. This means a commitment to communicating with constituents and being present in the community.
